So I got the ol’ iPhone 4 yesterday and I will happily say this: I have ZERO antenna issues. Sorry, haters, I might be the first blogger to post how much better the iPhone’s reception is (hope I didn’t ruin your day, Gizmodo) and I’m somehow ok with that.
I have been in the mountains since last night and even in this remote location I have zero trouble making or maintaining calls. My connection to the Edge network in the more exotic locations is perceptively faster than when I used the 3GS a mere two weeks ago and apps like Twitter and Google Reeder update without crashing. And this is just on Edge people.
Honestly, I don’t know why folks are harping on the phone bar recalculation update either, I’ve had nothing less than three bars since I’ve had the phone. Also, in more local places like my office (aka the lead box of death) that would normally make it impossible for me to use my iPhone, I make my famous two minute phone calls with zero issues or failed calls.
So, I have this great new HD phone with improved service, better camera, and FaceTime (which is incredible, the future is now) and all I read about is antenna nay sayers.
Well, call me an Apple fanboy, but I’ve fallen in love all over again.
Posted on the road.
you brother. This thing...works beautifully.
was pretty spectacular.
